The Pacific Island Countries Advanced Seasonal Outlook (PICASO) is one of the main products of the Republic of Korea-Pacific Islands Climate Prediction Services (ROK-PI CliPS) project completed on December 31, 2017. PICASO is a downscaled seasonal forecast offline software tailored for the Pacific region that allows Pacific Island National Meteorological Services to generate high quality 3 month rainfall forecast data for their own country.

The ROK-PI CliPS project was funded by the Government of Korea through the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) with the ROK-PIF Cooperation Fund, and was implemented by the APEC Climate Center (APCC) and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP).
