Pacific Post-COP25 Analysis Workshop and Training.

The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) through the Intra-ACP GCCA+ Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change and Resilience Building (PACRES) and in collaboration with the IMPACT Project will convene the Pacific Post-COP25 Analysis Meeting 16- 18 March 2020 at the Pacific Climate Change Centre at SPREP in Apia, Samoa.

The objectives of the meeting are to:

• Provide Pacific ACP SIDS negotiators with an opportunity to analyse the outcomes of COP25 relative to their specific national, regional and inter-regional priorities;

• Provide an opportunity for Pacific ACP SIDS to further develop positions on priority thematic areas of the Paris Agreement Work Programme (PAWP);

• Develop a Post-COP25 Analysis Report to inform Pacific ACP Leaders and Heads of State on the implications of COP25 outcomes at national, regional, and inter-regional levels; and

• Prepare negotiators to engage effectively in UNFCCC related events prior to and leading into COP26.
