FIJI needs to pursue knowledge and technologies on climate smart agriculture in order to tackle the challenges borne by climate change.
Opening a stakeholders meeting on developing Fiji's first e-agriculture strategy yesterday, Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development, and National Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu said Fiji was among a few countries in the world that were developing their national e-agriculture strategy with technical assistance from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
