Description

Watch Pacific Voices as they share their journeys of resilience against the changing climate and how they are using traditional and contemporary knowledge to protect their food, homes and water sources.

Documented in Fiji, Kiribati, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Samoa, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu the videos serve to inspire Pacific Islanders not to give up and continue passing down traditional knowledge to preserve generations to come.

Enclosed is a overall ten-minute documentary, which highlights the spirit of resilience across the Pacific.

Also available are short three to five minute documentaries honing into how climate change has affected the lives in six Pacific island nations and we hope it inspires you to use, share and learn Pacific solutions.

The documentaries were premiered at the 2017 Conference of Parties 23 (COP 23) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Bonn Germany at a high level side event jointly hosted by the Fijian COP Secretariat, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

At the launch, six youths from these countries as part of the Pacific Voices in Unison Project shared their journeys of resilience couples with a compelling performance to bring it to life.
