A study on indigenous agricultural knowledge in the Pacific, with special reference to Article 9 (which refers to Farmers’ Rights) of the International Treaty for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) was carried out in Cook Islands, Fiji and Samoa. A report has been published on the findings. Stories of traditional knowledge of Pacific agricultural practices have been compiled in collaboration with the Pacific Island Extension Network (PIEN). The aim is to document traditional knowledge in view of food security challenges, climate change impacts and sustainable agricultural practices.
